To create a basic page, perform the following steps:
From the admin toolbar, hover over Content > Add Content > click Basic Page.
Enter a Title for the page.
Note: This is displayed as the title in the content region, the title in the browser, and is used to generate the URL alias.
The Body field is used for the main page content. Use the Content Editor to edit the content in this field.
In the Resources field, enter a list of related resources. Recommend limiting the format to a simple list of static links; however, content can be edited the same as in the Body field.
Under Contact, enter the name of a person or department you want added as a contact for the page.
Note: A contact must already have been created before they will appear in the list. For information on how to create a contact, visit the Contact page of the Drupal Training Handbook.
Under Category, assign related categories to the page. The left pane is a list of available categories; the right pane is the categories that have been associated with the page. Use the left and right arrows to associate or disassociate categories with the page.
If you want the page to be placed in the menu, go to the upper right area on the page and click to expand Menu Settings. Click the Provide a menu link check box and more fields will appear. Enter the link title and description if you wish. Then, under the Parent item drop-down, select the parent page for the page you are working on.
In the Save as dropdown menu, whether the page is to be saved as a Draft, Published, or Archived.
Once the page is the way you want it, click the Save button.
